International Data Corporation (IDC) conducted interviews with organizations using Prisma® Cloud to secure and support workloads running on Google Cloud.
Customers reported achieving significant gains in security and risk minimization for their Google Cloud environments and a boost in confidence and visibility that made it easier to capitalize on the business platform opportunities in Google Cloud.
Prisma Cloud for Google Cloud: IDC Did the Math
Based on interviews with Prisma Cloud for Google Cloud users, IDC calculates that they will realize benefits worth an annual average of $264,100 per 100 Google Cloud virtual machines (VMs) ($1.6 million per interviewed organization) by:
- Improving security and compliance capabilities, which reduces the risk associated with impactful security events and minimizes productivity costs associated with such incidents.
- Making cloud security and compliance teams significantly more efficient.
- Optimizing use of Google Cloud as a business platform, thus reducing direct spend and capturing development and other productivity gains.
- Completing migrations to Google Cloud faster, which reduces risk associated with migrations and allows organizations to capture benefits associated with Google Cloud use at an earlier time.
