Porn-driven creator platform OnlyFans recorded a revenue of $1.31 billion in 2023, a jump of 20% year-over-year.
Gross payments made through the OnlyFans platform surged 19% to $6.63 billion in 2023. This means OnlyFans creators earned about $5.32 billion last fiscal year, keeping 80% of all the payments made on the platform.
The site, where celebrities and adult-film stars charge people to view their photos and videos, posted a profit of about $485.5 million in the year ending November 30, 2023, up 20% from the prior year, its holding company Fenix International said in a report on Friday.
The platform’s total number of creators grew 21% to 4.1 million in 2023, with total users rising 28% to about 305 million.
OnlyFans paid its owner Leonid Radvinsky $472 million in dividends in 2023, up nearly 40% from $338 in 2022. Radvinsky, the sole owner of Fenix International, has made over $1 billion from the site in three years.
The site was founded in 2016 by British father-and-son duo Guy and Tim Stokely. Radvinsky, who currently lives in Florida, bought a 75% stake in the company in 2018.
