1159 GMT – South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean slides nearly 6% after China sanctions five of its U.S. units, further escalating trade tensions with Washington. The sanctions include Hanwha Philly Shipyard where Hanwha will invest $5 billion to expand its capacity. “Hanwha’s subsidiaries have assisted and supported the U.S. government’s probes and measures against Chinese maritime, logistics and shipbuilding sectors. China resolutely opposes it,” a spokesperson at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in a statement. (costas.paris@wsj.com)
