Fluor (NYSE:FLR) was awarded a nearly $1.4B cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a contract for nuclear propulsion work, the U.S. Department of Defense announced Monday.
The Pentagon said Fluor Marine Propulsion (FLR) won the modification to the previously awarded contract to exercise FY 2025 options for the work at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, with its primary facilities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Schenectady, N.Y.; and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The DoD also said $14.98M of FY 2024 other Navy procurement funding, $3.55M of FY 2024 research and development and testing funding, and $495K of other Navy procurement funding will be obligated at the time of award.
